Situated across the Brazos River in Younger and Palo Pinto counties. It is west of Fort Value Texas in close proximity to Texas Highway sixteen. The lake region is 17,620 acres that has a greatest depth of 145 ft. It had been impounded in 1941 which is controlled through the Brazos River Authority. The Possum Kingdom pool stage is roughly 1000 ft m
